Course suited for managers nominated spill responders or Environmental/ HSE Managers
The training meets all Environmental Agency, DEFRA and ISO14001 requirements and shows the impact a spill can have on the local environment and water courses.
This course is designed to:
- Recognise what level of response for emergency spills is needed and thereby help to reduce corporate exposure to risks of polluting the environment, consequent costs and staff safety during this process.
- Improve the knowledge and understanding of the physical dangers of spillages, typical routes of escape from the site and how to use containment and absorbent products to effectively control a spill for in-house staff.
- Create awareness of individuals’ moral and legal responsibilities for causing pollution within the water environment.

- Identify the product spilled and select appropriate PPE or help

Do we need to provide the spill kit for demonstration?
No. We bring all demonstration equipment
However; Items provided for future use i.e. Trainers Demonstration Spill Kit Bag, Power-point, training brochures, refills, PDF files or hard copies will be chargeable, POA
Can we do multiple courses in a day?
Of Course. As long as we are in the same location we can do up to 2 courses a day
Can we buy spill control products?
Absolutely. The trainer will have order forms or visit our dedicated webpage
